DESIGN-BUILD ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROJECTS
Client: City of Baldwin Park
This project valued at slightly over $1.0 million, consisted of performing a broad range of energy-related consulting services. The facility is over 1.5 million square feet and consists of various office buildings, Community Center, Family Center, Parks, and other City facilities. We audited the entire facility and came up with energy saving options in lighting and lighting controls, LED traffic signals, elevator refurbishment, emergency generators, motors and motor control; variable frequency drives (vfd's) and energy management systems. This resulted in a decrease of their energy consumption by over 40% and cut their monthly electric bills from $150,000 to about $100,000. A training class for the building maintenance staff helped educate them on the latest technologies, making them familiar with the various operations, maintenance and commissioning requirements. The City saved over $300,000 in project costs and the project was completed within budget and on time.
SEMINARS AND TRAINING
Clients: Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, City of Pasadena, Burbank & Glendale, U.S.C., Jamaica Promotions, Ministry of Power, India and others.
Conducted quality seminars in the field of energy efficiency, demand-side management programs, lighting, motors, vfd's and other energy-saving technologies. Color overheads and slides were used to portray the key elements of energy efficiency; practical real life insights were provided, drawn from the vast and in-depth experience in energy efficiency. For customers in India and Jamaica, incorporated meaningful training for the building owner and technicians to assure in-house auditing capabilities in future.
ENERGY CONSERVATION AND DEMAND-SIDE MANAGEMENT
Energy Conservation and Demand-side Management is widely practiced by both government and private industry. The increased energy costs and environmental consciousness have motivated this. We are today, poised at the beginning of an era where energy efficiency is the modern password for future survival. GES staff has stepped up to the challenge and is actively involved in the implementation of energy efficiency. Our staff has performed complete energy audits of numerous private and government commercial buildings, which include offices, libraries, hospitals, prisons, supermarkets, stadiums, airports, warehouses, wholesale clubs, universities and hotels. We have been actively involved in the complete design, installation and commissioning of various projects. We have also performed extensive energy audits in the industrial sectors and recommended energy efficient retrofits, which have resulted in significant energy savings and energy efficient operations for our many satisfied clients. We list below a few of our projects.

FACILITIES DESIGN & PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Project : 120,000 sq. ft. Computer Facility
Client : Douglas Aircraft facility, Long Beach, California.
GES staff designed the lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, and grounding and security systems for the entire computer facility. The project was handled from conceptualization to completion, including project management of the entire project. An energy efficient lighting system was used with motion sensors, and the fire alarm system was integrated to the existing system.
GES staff designed over one hundred facilities for clients like Pacific Bell, Jet Propulsion Labs (JPL), AT&T, and numerous schools and hospital facilities. Projects included designing and specifying the complete lighting, power distribution, fire alarm and other related systems for these buildings.
